More Than Sparrows
More Than Sparrows is a volunteer ministry that reflects Christ's love by caring for elderly individuals, widows, and neighbors in need through presence, shared meals, and acts of mercy, reminding each person they are seen, valued, and never forgotten by God.
Launched in October 2024, this ministry exists to be the hands and feet of Christ for those experiencing hardship—both spiritually and physically. We put others before ourselves and serve them just as Christ served us.
OUR MISSION
Rooted in Matthew 10:31, the mission of More Than Sparrows is to reflect Christ's love by serving elderly individuals, widows, and neighbors in need, affirming their God-given worth through faithful presence, shared meals, and compassionate acts of service, so all may know they are deeply valued and never forgotten.

We envision a ministry that:
Strengthens our foundation of compassionate service
Grows participation and reaches more of those in need
Multiplies impact through empowered volunteers and servant leadership
Our hope is that the community sees Jesus in us, acting out His commands. We want volunteers to experience the joy that comes from impacting someone's life and putting others before themselves.
Our Ministry Branches
Breaking Bread Outreach
A community meal ministry focused on providing food and fellowship to neighbors in need. This branch emphasizes hospitality, dignity, and connection, meeting both physical and spiritual hunger through shared meals. We gather monthly to prepare and serve meals at We Care Turlock Shelter, bringing Christ's love through nourishment and warm conversation.

Least of These
A compassion-driven visitation ministry serving the elderly and widows. The focus is on presence and relationships, offering companionship, prayer, and practical support to those who may feel forgotten or isolated. Through regular visits, we remind our brothers and sisters that they are cherished members of God's family.

Kind Neighbor Project
A hands-on service initiative supporting elderly, disabled, widows, and neighbors in need. This branch provides practical help such as small home tasks, errands, or assistance, being a dependable, loving presence in everyday life. When someone needs a helping hand, we're there to serve.
